It was Landon’s 21st birthday and he attended an event I was bartending. He had to build up courage to ask me for my number, and was asking my coworkers about me. Eventually towards the end of the night he came up to me asked for my phone number, and I laughed and said “what?”. The rest is history!

On a random day Landon said he was taking me on a surprise date. He helped me pick out my outfit and we drove out to Potosi, MO. We were at his parents for a while and he seemed nervous but not anything that made me question his intentions. I thought we were going to a nice restaurant, a fair, or some other type of event. We got into the truck and he said “we have a short drive” which confused me. He pulled up to the entrance of his parents field, and turned the headlights on and started playing a playlist he had made and took my phone, propped it up and said he wanted to record memories because we never take videos or pictures of us and he was excited about this date because it’s something he’s wanted to do with me. He took me by the hand and waist and started dancing with me to the music, under the stars, and in the moonlight. At the end of the playlist he spun me and as I tried to give him a hug he got on one knee and proposed to me. I was in shock and he said the sweetest things. Bonus points for the cicadas chirping. It was one of the best memory’s of my life and totally unexpected.
