The Haagensons

We both went to Red River High School, but for the longest time, we were just two familiar faces in the hallways—never really crossing paths. That all changed when Ashley set her sights on a new mission: convincing Landon to join the track team. He joined, and was of course, a strong contender in the field. Not long after, Landon asked Ashley to a movie on Easter Sunday. That one simple date was the beginning of everything. From there, our journey unfolded one chapter at a time. We graduated high school together and started college at the University of North Dakota, where we learned a lot—both in the classroom and about each other. Between busy schedules, non-stop studying, and late-night food runs, we became best friends and partners in every sense. After college graduation, we dove headfirst into the real world with our first full-time jobs, figuring things out together one step at a time. Whether it was weekends at the lake, traveling across the country, or keeping our competitive streaks alive with frequent contests in pickleball, board games, and Wordle, we appreciated every moment spent together. One of our boldest adventures? Packing up and spending three sunny, unforgettable months living in Florida—just us, embarking on a new adventure and soaking in every moment. Eventually, we bought our first house together and added the sweetest (and furriest) member to our little family—our dog, Luca, who quickly stole both our hearts and most of the couch. What started with a hallway nudge and a movie date has grown into a life full of love, laughter, and shared dreams.
