Borrego Springs, CA is a hidden gem surrounded by Anza-Borrego State Park. No promises, but we're hoping we'll be there for the superbloom and find the desert covered in flowers. So bring your allergy meds! I'm talking to myself.
There are no fast food chains, but there are plenty of fun local eateries (Carlee's, Red Ocotillo, Kendall's Cafe + more) and grocery stores.

Slot Canyon Trail

Cool hike, no dogs allowed. A little bumpy in a sedan, best if you have a truck or suv. Trail head is marked with a sign.
Hellhole Canyon Trail
Montezuma-Borrego Highway, Borrego Springs, CA 92004
Great hike to running water and palm trees in the middle of the desert. Bring a bathing suit if you dare! Paid parking.
