Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors on the lawn. The venue has a covered outdoor area where cocktail hour will be held. In the event of rain or cold weather, there are heaters that will be turned on. Want to sit by a bonfire? You will love the stone bonfire seating area. The dinner and dancing will take place indoors. BYOB! As in Bring Your Own Blanket, duh, if you want to be even cozier at the ceremony or around the fire. We will have a bunch of blankets too. But, lets just hope we don't need them!
Shuttle service will be available for guests staying in the area. We will have a shuttle heading towards Red Wing, and another heading towards Pepin. The shuttle can stop at AirBnBs along the way, and also will stop at Pepin Motel and the block of hotels in Red Wing. We will reach out to guests via email as the date gets near to confirm shuttle pickup and drop offs. Return shuttle transportation will begin as the reception continues into the evening. The venue can also accommodate plenty of cars in the parking lot.
For those that stay overnight, we encourage guests to stay in Pepin (that's where we will be), Stockholm, Maiden Rock or Red Wing. Pepin is just a short 10-minute drive to the wedding venue, Maiden Rock is about 15 minutes, and Red Wing is 30 minutes. The venue is roughly 1-2 hours from the Twin Cities area, depending on where you are coming from. We have reserved all of the rooms at the Pepin Motel, several AirBnBs in Pepin and Stockholm, and a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn in Red Wing. For more details on how to reserve, check out our lodging page.
We will collect RSVPs through this website. The RSVP feature is live. If you already know whether you can or cannot make it, please let us know! While we are going to miss you dearly at our celebration, we would love to be able to accommodate others if possible! Regarding the RSVP: As we get closer to the date, be sure to check back once you get your formal wedding invite.
