Maid of Honor
Lauren and I met while we were working as nurses at UT Medical Center in Knoxville. She worked nights at the time while I worked day shift. She was in a car accident resulting in injuries that required her to have a modified job, & landed her on dayshift with me! That's when our friendship began. Over the course of our friendship, I have seen Lauren become an amazing women who loves Jesus with her whole heart. We've done it all-worked together, gone to church, traveled on mission trips, lived together, had many adventures-- plowed through snow to get to weddings, enjoyed the beach, Germany...& now, within just a matter of months, we're entering into a new phase of life together: marriage to the men we've prayed for! I praise God for the gift of friendship with Lauren (soon to be Mefford)!!
Best Man
First solid memory I have of Jeremy is hiking mount LeConte with him and a group of friends. (Let's not recall that hiking experience, for my pride and toenails' sake). Later that year he welcomed me to live with him and a couple of other fellows. We share some interests, but mainly became friends through simply being believers in Christ and being able to confide as brothers. We shared a room at the apartment and I like to think that, if Lauren is a snorer, I prepared him well.

Lauren is my beautiful sister whom I look up to and love so much! We go way back, but one of the most meaningful memories that I have of her and I is when she stood by my side for both deliveries of my children--she held my hand and cheered me on. Those were a times in my life when i needed someone the most, and she was there. I love her so very much, and am so excited for her and Jeremy!
Groomsman
I met Jeremy in summer 2009 at an Fx camping trip. We discovered we both enjoy working out and would meet at the gym a few days a week. We did this for a few years until I moved away for work in September 2012. When I started my relationship with my wife in 2010, Jeremy welcomed her in, and has stayed a great friend to us both through the years. Now that we have 2, about to be 3, little girls, we affectionately call Jeremy "Uncle Boss". Jeremy is a friend who is easy to have deep authentic conversations with and also lighthearted fun. I'm thankful to the Lord for Jeremy and honored to witness him marry the love of his life!

I, as the pastor's wife, have had the joy of knowing Lauren since she first began attending Christ Church Knoxville in 2011. Almost five years ago, Lauren offered to serve as the regular babysitter in the Tarr household of 5 kids, and quickly became much more like a member of the family! I have had the joy of discipling Lauren as a sister in Christ and Lauren in turn has made a significant and eternal investment of the love of Jesus in the Tarr family.

I first met Jeremy on a camping trip in 2009. I could tell he knew how great a friend I was going to be the moment we met. Jeremy and I don't have a lot in common on a surface level, but that hasn't stopped us from developing into lifelong friends. Our love for our amazing friendships, God's church, and being a geek have kept us as close friends. We've served alongside each other and I've been able to see Jeremy's heart for being on mission for God and His Church. I can't wait to see how he tackles this new season of life.

I met Lauren in all the way back in middle school! We don’t have to talk about how long ago that actually was *cough* 16 years *cough*. We quickly became best friends and were inseparable. Throughout those many many years of friendship, we’ve experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly, but have loved each other through our faults. I have had the great blessing of watching Lauren choose Christ and what an incredible warrior she is for him! I am completely honored to stand by her side on her big day and cannot wait to see the incredible impact she and Jeremy will make in this world for God’s kingdom.

Slade isn't real. He's a hologram that will be on stage.

I met Lauren 6 years ago when she began attending Christ Church Knoxville. During those first few years of friendship we made a pact to learn how to be “sharpening” friends together and have experienced rich fellowship together ever since. We have enjoyed many prayerful (and tearful) car rides, afternoons studying the Bible, and times of dancing in worship together …. and occasionally singing Disney songs at the top of our lungs, hiking in the snow, and spending the night under the stars in my front yard. It’s a friendship built to last! What an amazing grace from the Lord!

Jeremy and I started really bonding over soccer a few years ago, as well as a shared love for various aspects of the Christian walk we desired to see displayed more clearly in our own lives and that of our local church. Despite going to different churches, and me getting married recently, we still meet up regularly and are encouraged by each other's mutual faith.

I met Lauren in 2014 when I began attending Christ Church Knoxville, and immediately knew we would be friends, since she was so kind and authentic from the start. I am so blessed to call her my friend and my sister in Christ, and to have so many sweet memories of long walks and precious heart to hearts with this beautiful bride to be!

I met Jeremy as a freshman at UT. Since then we have lived together, led a bible study together, joined a church together, performed many shenanigans, and become close friends. I am so excited to see Jeremy getting married to Lauren!
