The details of how we got together vary depending on who and when you ask. But at least two words, “Burning” & “Kumquat”, remain consistent. Formally, we met for the first time on the 2nd floor of the Women’s Building during a planning session for WashU's organic garden. Nate was late to the meeting and Landis was wearing a T-shirt she’d stolen from her cousin. But honestly, Landis had noticed Nate even before this (a story we can’t get into here) and who knows what Nate remembers from college?! At some point we fell in love. One of us became a Master, the other, just a Doctor. Then we adopted the worlds-most-beloved-cat, then we bought a house and now we’re getting married!
