Train
One of the fastest and easiest way to get from the airport to Baden Baden is by train! Buy tickets early to save!
Travel Note
When you land at Frankfurt Airport, there are 2 ways to get to Baden Baden: Rent a car or take the train. Car Rental: If renting a car, after you land and go through customs, please follow the signs for "Car rental". There are many signs for car rental and they are in English so its very easy to follow. Please note that you will need to provide them a valid drivers license and credit card. There is also a nightly charge for parking at the hotel. You do not need a car in Baden Baden as everything is easily walkable from the hotel. Train: The recommended and cheapest way to get to Baden Baden is by taking the train. When you land in Frankfurt, follow the signs for Train (these signs will be in English). After you pass the first few signs that say Train, you will eventually see signs for Long Distance Train. Follow these signs and you will get to the train station which is in located in Terminal 1 and run by Deutsche Bahn. If you plan on taking the train you should download the app "DB Navigator". From this app you can buy train tickets, access your tickets and see real time updates for which platform and trains you will be taking. Make sure you are connected to wifi or phone service when you land. The recommended ticket to buy would be the Flex ticket (Flexpreis). This ticket will allow you to take any train on your day of travel. This is helpful in case you have any airport or train station delays. Once you have your itinerary on the app, just pay attention to what Platform # your train will be arriving, the time it will arrive and the Train # (example ICE 631). Navigate to the platform number on your ticket, check the board to confirm the train number and get on the train when it comes at the correct time. Your DB navigator app will update new times if the train is late as well as any platform/train number changes in real time.
