Our Story

We were only teenagers when we first met. At the time, we had no idea that years later we’d be standing here planning a wedding together. Our story isn’t a straight line. We dated once, but life had other plans. Over the years, we found ourselves in countless talking stages, seasons of friendship, and moments where our paths crossed again and again. Somehow, no matter where life took us, we always seemed to find our way back to each other. Looking back, it’s almost funny. Through all the years, all the growing up, and all the changes that come with becoming adults, one thing never really changed: us. What started as teenage puppy love slowly grew into something deeper. We learned each other through different seasons of life—the good, the difficult, and everything in between. We laughed together, made memories together, and built a friendship that became the foundation for everything else. The truth is, we’re still those same goofy kids at heart. We laugh too hard at things that probably aren’t that funny, act immature more often than we’d like to admit, and somehow make ordinary moments our favorite memories. Being together has always felt easy because before anything else, we’re best friends. As we’ve looked back on our journey, we’ve seen God’s hand in every chapter. What felt like detours at the time became part of the story He was writing all along. His timing was better than ours, and His plans were bigger than anything we could have imagined as teenagers. After years of growing up separately and together, our story came full circle. The boy and girl who met as teenagers became best friends, and those best friends became each other’s forever. We can’t wait to begin this next chapter surrounded by the people we love most. “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” — Mark 10:9
