We’re finally making it official!

In 2015, my very first year of college, life changed in the most unexpected way. It was at the Barnes & Noble block party in Las Cruces, New Mexico—a night full of music, lights, and that excited, hopeful energy of starting something new. That’s where I met Tyler. The funny thing is, Tyler and I had actually gone to the same high school. We had walked the same halls, cheered at the same games, and probably passed each other countless times without even realizing it. To make it even crazier—we had lived so close to each other, yet neither of us knew. It’s almost as if life was saving our meeting for the perfect time. From the start, it felt easy with him. We found ourselves talking about everything—classes, music, life—and it didn’t take long before we started spending more and more time together. Our favorite adventures became hiking trips, where we’d escape into the desert trails and mountain views, just the two of us, learning each other’s hearts with every mile. We loved going to the Southern New Mexico State Fair, holding hands under the lights, sharing cotton candy, and laughing at the rides. Every fall, the pumpkin patch became our tradition, and our cozy movie nights were the glue that made even ordinary days feel special. As the years rolled by, our story only grew deeper. We moved a lot, building a home wherever we landed, always side by side. Through it all, Tyler wasn’t just my boyfriend or partner—he became my very best friend. Together, we’ve built a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. Now, ten years later, we have two beautiful babies who are the heart of our world. When I think back to that night in 2015 at the block party, I can’t help but smile. Who would’ve thought that the boy I never noticed in high school would become the man I’d share everything with? It’s been ten years of love, growth, and friendship—and somehow, it still feels like just the beginning.
