Dana and Dan met in 2014, when a beautiful, doe-eyed new staff member was taking an office tour and saw a handsome, grizzled vet typing away in his "office" (the corner of a computer lab). Fast forward to 2021, and voila! It was love at... 3 mutually attended weddings, countless wonderful days of work and play in the Chicago streets, and several "will they or won't they" moments... sight! I think they call that a slow burn? Having spent as much time as they had together, they had a pretty good idea that it was something special (even though they no longer lived in the same state). Since then, while maneuvering a long-distance start to the relationship, they built a cozy life together, including: - welcoming each other into our families and their unconventional traditions (Dana's first Turkey Bowl, Dan's first Christmas latkes, etc.); - combining households and navigating meal prep habits, TV schedules, and inadequate/inequitable closet space; and - dink-ing it up with their incomparable group of friends in Chicago and beyond! We can't wait to celebrate our marriage with all of you who have been a part of our story over the past decade.
