We’re Simply Meant to Be

After knowing each other for 7 years, always keeping in touch, we finally decided to meet at a small town diner in Middletown, Connecticut. After breakfast we decided to go to Wadsworth falls state park. We sat on the bench at the base of the waterfall for hours doing one of our favorite things....people watch, while falling in love. We dated each other long distance between New York and Massachusetts. This gave us the opportunity to truly get to know each other through long phone calls and video chatting every night until the next weekend. 2 years later, we finally decided to move in together and got our first apartment in Warren, MA.

The morning of August 18, we headed out for breakfast at our usual spot in town. Once we got down to the car, Bryant placed a blindfold on me and assured me we were still going to breakfast but it was going to be a surprise. He drove us to the same little diner in CT where we first met. Over breakfast I asked Bryant if we could also go back to the state park. I didn’t know this was all part of the master plan. Back in the car, Bryant told me there was one last surprise... but I needed to put the blindfold back on. Just a few moments later, I was led down a pathway and I could hear the falls. It was then I took off my blindfold to see the man of my dreams on his knee asking for my hand. I said yes before he even finished the question! The ring incorporates two unique but equally important diamonds. The first diamond was given to my mother by my father upon his proposal. Placed right alongside it, sits a diamond from the engagement ring of Bryant's great great aunt, Judy. Holding it all together is a band that Bryant picked out with the help of a talented local Jeweler, a family business where Bryant's father bought his engagement ring for my future mother-in-law.
