We're getting married!

Our story began twelve years ago at Edison Junior High School when Lance & Molly first crossed paths. It all started as a friendship rooted in locker visits and attending each other's sporting events. We were just two kids navigating the awkwardness of junior high, but little did we know that those early days would lay the foundation for something truly special. Lance finally made his move after 4 months of Molly just wanting to be friends because she was too scared to tell her brothers that she “had a boyfriend.” On January 28, 2013, Molly & Lance could no longer deny that they wanted to be together and Lance asked Molly to be his girlfriend. As we transitioned to high school, our bond only grew stronger, filled with unforgettable memories—from continued support at basketball games and golf matches to attending all high school dances together. It was these years that we developed an understanding of what it means to love someone and realized we truly had a best friend in one another. After graduating, our paths took us to different colleges: Lance ventured off to Northern Illinois University, while Molly found her home at the University of Illinois. Although these years brought its challenges, we always found our way back to each other. We spent countless weekends together, attending football games and barn dances at U of I and never ending a weekend together without having the next visit planned. At “grandpa’s garden”, Lance asked Molly to marry him on March 30, 2024. We cannot wait for all that lies ahead and we are truly so excited to have our closest friends and family with us to celebrate our special day!
