We met during our Sophomore year of high school when we had gym and Algebra 2 together. Nothing says true love like stinky gym clothes and math assignments. We bonded over our competitive academic nature and a similar sense of humor. We went to prom together and to international robotics competitions too.

We both went to Montana State University (go Cats!) and started toward our respective academic goals. College was interrupted Sophomore year by the global Covid 19 pandemic and both returned home to Missoula. After being able to return to school in person, Lance got a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mechatronics, and Marina got a B.S. in Microbiology specializing in Medical Laboratory Science in 2022.

Lance then started his first job out of college in Everett, WA at Boeing working as a Manufacturing Engineer for the Boeing 777X, specifically making composite wings. Marina began her year of clinical rotations through the Montana Medical Laboratory Science program in Bozeman and then later in Missoula, MT. Although we were states away from one another, we kept in touch through video calls and our mutual love of playing video games. Every few months we would plan trips to go visit each other in Seattle or Missoula. It was a long year, but Marina finally finished her program and got a job at the UW Medicine Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, working as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the Hematopathology flow cytometry lab.

Lance proposed to Marina on November 4th, 2023 at sunset after planning a wonderful day at the best spots in Everett. She said yes! We are excited to share our love with all of the guests at the upcoming wedding celebration. Cheers!
