A match made on Tinder. From our first conversation, to our first date, to our first dance. We've gotten sentimental with each other. We're goofy and play around when no one is watching. Understandably, we get on each others nerves quite a bit but we laugh our way through it and love each other even when things get hard.
We went to Texas Roadhouse for our first date. Lance picked Dylan up and even got out of his truck and knocked on the front door not afraid of who may answer. At dinner we talked about what we wanted out of life and realized things matched and clicked. After dinner, Lance took Dylan home and we hung out in the garage with my little dog, Oakley, until her roommates, otherwise known as Dylan's parents, came home. While in the garage we had beer chugging contests and just joked around with each other. If anyone knows Dylan's parents, they don't care if they just met you, you're getting put to work. So they asked Lance for help bringing in some boxes. After all that we watched some movies together where Dylan trauma dumped on Lance. After the night drew to a close, Lance said it was officially his bedtime and headed out. After all of that, Lance decided he wanted to see Dylan again. And here we are GETTING MARRIED!
The Grizzly Rose (The Rose) is a country dance bar in Denver. One night we were out with Lance's coworkers drinking and we ended up at The Rose. After getting sick, Dylan was getting depressed. This is where Lance did the one thing Dylan wanted someone to do. Lance pulled Dylan onto the dance floor to dance. Yes, she sprained her ankle very badly. But she only ever told one person that she wanted to be pulled onto a dance floor since she would never be up to do it herself. That is the night she knew she would say yes to marrying him.
Dang, I talk a lot. After spending nearly a month working in Colorado Springs, Lance had a little extra money and decided to buy himself a present. After that was purchased, Dylan looked at him and said, "alright no more until I get a ring on my finger." Little did she know he was already planning on asking and even had the ring picked out and almost ready to go. We moved to Wyoming at the beginning of August, well mostly Dylan did. Lance had to stay at his job location while they found a replacement. During his time still in Colorado, Lance took the time to go to Dylan's parents house to ask for their blessing. Of course Dylan's dad just had to ask him "why?" To that Lance got more nervous and finally let them know that Dylan makes him happy. At the beginning of September Dylan came home from a girls trip for her "sister" (honorary mention that it was her bachelorette trip, congratulations Bailey!). After she got home, Lance, his Grandma Bonnie (there's 2 Bonnie's, we have to specify), and his Uncle Bo took Dylan on a walk. Lance's Grandma Bonnie tricked Dylan into thinking the neighbor was being crazy again. As Dylan looked through a pair of binoculars and got distracted by a log in the pond, Lance got her attention. She glanced backwards to see him on one knee holding a ring. She started crying instantly and hid her face in her hands. She thought to herself, "turn around dumbass, he's asking you to marry him." So she turned around and waited for what felt like forever for him to ask the question. She obviously said, "YES!" And they hugged while she cried. Lance made a joke, which got her to laugh and she told him, "okay you can buy another one now." Which got him to laugh as well. After a day of travel and a spike of happy tears and adrenaline, they went out for some steak to celebrate their engagement. Side note - she also gave him 3 options, which were - Bike, Ring, Or Baby
