Hau had just moved here from Iowa and was adjusting to a new school and city when our mutual friend invited him to a picnic that weekend. I remember that we had just started talking and he asked if I would to be there, too. We spent hours that day in the backseat of one of our friend's car, talking and just getting to know each other. Fast forward a few years, my mom asked if he'd like to stay the night since he would come over late after work to see me. A night turned into a weekend, a weekend turned into a month and now, we've been living together for about 5 years. We got engaged in San Francisco after Hau flew me out to be with him the weekend of July 2nd. We had our traditional Vietnamese engagement ceremony on 09/07/2017 and we went to the courthouse to get legally married on August 23, 2018! Now, it's time to celebrate with our friends and family! It has been a long journey to get to right where we want to be! We'd love to have you all there to eat, drink and be happy with us!
