Join us for a welcome dinner at Jtown Pizza, a neighborhood favorite in San Jose. Nestled in a multi-story historic building built in the late 1800s, the location once served as a boardinghouse for Japanese laborers. Today, it serves as a community gathering space that serves pizza, beer, and more. We'll have some pizza pre-ordered but you are welcome to purchase your own additional food or drinks! The menu offers vegetarian, gluten free, and vegan options!

Learn the history of the where you'll be visiting! Lan and Bryan will be leading a social justice history walking tour of the neighborhood we are lucky to call home. Learn about how Asian American communities survived racialized violence and built a home in San Jose, how SJSU students helped ignite the Black Power Movement, and take in the beautiful murals showcasing Chicano history. We will start at the Farmers Market in Japantown and walk approximately 3 miles, and take the city bus back to the Farmers Market in Japantown.
