Lanai & Jacob

Wedding Party

Ansley Tworek

Maid of Honor

The Designer Like the destiny of two star crossed lovers, fate would place Ansley and Lanai across the hall in the college dorms. At the time, Lanai was doing her best to get an internship at a local finance firm and Ansley used her mad connections to set up a meeting, but only on the condition that some day Lanai would make her MOH ;) With a friendship to match her eye for design, Ansley and Lanai have always been there for each other. Lanai is honored to have Ansley be her Maid of Honor.

Lauren Romuar

Bridesmaid

The Bro Lanai also met Lauren Freshman year of college. At the time the Hawaiian kids decided to take Lanai in because she had a cool name. ;) Lanai and Lauren eventually became roommates and spent countless nights painting the town red. Coined in their friend group as "the bro" Lanai has always loved Lauren's laid back easy spirit and her willingness to help others as a nurse. This comes in handy since Lanai bruises like a peach!

Joyce Choe

Bridesmaid

Tiny but mighty Don't let her tiny stature fool you, Joyce is a force to be reckoned with! Her strong personality, love for Jesus Christ, and passion to help others has inspired Lanai. But perhaps Joyce's greatest quality is her ability to eat an unlimited amount of calories and look the same as when they met! Despite the long distance Lanai and Joyce still get together and pick up right where they left off.

Rachel Lee

Bridesmaid

The American Idol Rachel and Lanai have always had the best time together. Whether it was going on trips to Disney World or Southcenter mall, singing 'Shake it Off' in the car, pushing Lanai and Jake outside their comfort zone at karaoke or just hanging out at home. Rachel makes every time special. Even though she moved to Korea, Rachel is one of the most loving and fun spirited people around. Living across the world won't stop the connection these two have!

Tia Rivera

Bridesmaid

The Survivor Tia's the kind of friend you would pick to be on a deserted island with, she would find a way to make a raft all while slow cooking a keto approved meal with locally sourced ingredients. She's also the type of roommate where if you hear someone break in, you would be scared for the intruder! In addition to her cooking she is known for her 'spicy' personality but best of all is her infectious laugh, dependability, and upbeat spirit.

Taylor Brown

Bridesmaid

Don Draper With her big personality and passion for people, Taylor could run a marketing campaign selling clouds to Seattleites. Lanai and Taylor first bonded when Taylor came out to visit her and Jake a few years ago. They had a great time seeing the sites and getting Lanai's car towed (whoops). Lanai looks forward to many future Uber rides with Tay!

Michele Liang

Bridesmaid

The Real Estate Mogul Lanai and Michele first met at Seattle University in their business fraternity. In between grueling hours of studying, volunteering, and a tiny amount of partying (...very small, this was a business frat... ok there was a decent amount of partying, like maybe more than business... I'd say equal parts studying and partying) a true friendship blossomed. Although Michele has a successful career as a Real Estate broker, she has landed the most prime real estate of all. A place in Lanai's heart.

Wesley Brown

Best Man

Wes and Jake have been both roommates and womb-mates. Their closeness in proximity their whole live's have led to lots of fights, but also a lot of love. Growing up it always seemed like somebody had a black eye or fat lip. The 90's were a great time to buy stock in Band-Aids. Wes and Jake were teammates as well and they enjoyed a lot of athletic success together. Often times they knew what the other one was going to do without talking about it. One of Jake's fondest memories is when Wes threw him a game winning touchdown pass at the buzzer against a rival team. Watching Wes sink two free throws to win a championship basketball game is a close second. Wes is happy that Jake will be getting a new teammate with Lanai, because he is sick of Jake talking so much.

Dan Mayer

Groomsman

Dan and Jake have known each other since Jr. High. They grew closer in High School and college. Often, they frequented each others family parties and after awhile it felt like they were family. Dan and Jake briefly lived together following Jake's graduation from Palmer. He opened Jake's eyes to what discipline and consistent hard work can accomplish. Jake has enjoyed watching Dan grow as a person over the years. It came in handy when Dan and his wife Monica had twins last year. Jake's favorite memory of Dan is when Dan accompanied Jake on a tour of a Chiropractic college. Dan was not interested in Chiropractic but was answering all the questions in the anatomy lab like he has been studying it his whole life. Jake was secretly jealous, but still glad Dan came.

Jack Pierce

Groomsman

Jack and Jake met at The University of Iowa freshman year and were inseparable through college. Jack is one of the funniest people Jake has ever met and the two have shared a lot of laughs over the years. Whether they were working out, studying, or watching every movie in the English language they always had fun, Not a lot of people know this about Jack, but he is a surprisingly fantastic freestyle rapper. Try to stay on his good side or there may be a witty bar about how your shirt sucks coming your way. Jack has always been there for Jake. One of Jake's favorite memories of Jack was when Jack stayed up all night tutoring Jake in Calculus before a final. They still love going back to Iowa every year to catch a football game with the old gang and cheer on the Hawkeyes!

Nick Angellotti

Groomsman

Nick and Jake met on the gridiron. Doing battle in epic 5th and 6th grade football scrimmages forged the foundation for a lifelong friendship. Nick and Jake loved rough housing and with Jake being a year older he often got the upper hand. One fateful day, Nick was bigger than Jake and was able to beat him. Jake made the mature decision that they were too old for such foolishness and should concentrate on more scholarly pursuits. Nick and Jake have always shared a lot of similar interests from football, golf, and guitar to talking about outer space. Over the years their two families have grown close and had a lot of great memories together. Jake's favorite memory of Nick was watching him whoop up on a rival football team in college, it was great to see the years of hard work pay off.

Cory Sieburg

Groomsman

Cory and Jake met in Spanish class senior year of high school. Their teacher was trying to show them a poignant video of a flood in Mexico when Jake heard someone yell, "Ayudaaaa meeee," from the back. It was Cory and that line became the rallying cry of their friendship. Jake fondly remembers walking to class with Cory and copying his homework on the way. Cory was always the type of guy who spoke his mind and was 100% his genuine self. They remained good friends from high school through present day. When they talk on the phone, they have to be ready to spend hours because they can both talk all day. One of Jake's favorite memory of Cory is playing hockey on a frozen lake at night. Maybe a little dangerous but nobody got hurt!

Kevin Roemer

Groomsman

Kevin and Jake first met at Palmer College of Chiropractic but didn't become close friends until they both lived in WA State and worked in the same Chiropractic clinic. Although Kevin is a Packer's fan, he is actually a good guy. I know that is super hard to believe! They have a standing appointment to adjust each other every week to make sure they are in tip top shape to take care of their patients. Kevin and his wife Val's close relationship with God has been a great influence on Jake. Kevin and Jake enjoy cycling together often going distances that a sane person wouldn't even want to drive. Jake's favorite memory of Kevin was watching him cross the finish line of a 206 mile bike race in one day. The hard work and determination was very inspiring!
