Question

Will precautions be taken to keep guests safe from COVID-19?

Answer

Yes, absolutely. The health and wellbeing of our guests is our top priority. So that we can safely have our baby and other compromised guests attend, we require every guest to take a COVID-19 test on Thursday, July 28 and submit a photo and your name via email the same day, Thursday, 7/28 at 11:59pm CST. Rapid tests taken at home are permissible. There will NOT be testing available on site. We WILL have people at the door checking in all guests and confirming proof of a negative test. Please submit your name and photo via email to: lanadavidwedding@gmail.com.

Question

Do I need to be vaccinated?

Answer

No, but proof of a negative test taken Thursday, July 28 is required.

Question

But I'm vaccinated: do I still need to take a COVID test?

Answer

Yes.

Question

May I bring my small children or babies?

Answer

It is our hope that everyone can feel present with us at these events. For that reason, we are leaving our own child with a sitter and we ask that you please do the same. (The only children who will be present will have honors in the ceremony.) If you have a room at the hotel, the hotel has a sitter service that can come to your room, just contact them. We love your kids and look forward to visiting with them another time!

Question

I have a child/children. Are there babysitters available?

Answer

Yes, there are! Please contact the hotel directly to arrange for a sitter to come to your hotel room at $15/hour. Call soon, as babysitters book up quickly. Or, you can contact Babe Maven, a babysitting agency in Chicago: https://babe-maven.com/.

Question

How do I get to the hotel?

Answer

If driving: there is a parking lot at the hotel. If taking public transit: There is a free shuttle service between O’Hare International Airport and the Loews Chicago O’Hare hotel where the wedding will take place. The blue line train runs to O’Hare from Chicago and vice versa.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Black tie optional. Evening gowns welcome. Fancy but no tuxes.
