Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

August 21, 2025, is the RSVP deadline. We have to give a final head count to the caterers and venue in order to ensure enough food and seating is out. If you need to change from a yes to a no after the deadline please reach out to the couple via text or email (nicklanawedding@gmail.com)! Thank you!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! The dress code is Cocktail/Semi formal. This is the biggest day of our lives so far and we would love to see everyone dressed up with us. No jeans, T-shirts, shorts, caps. Ladies, please no white/off white. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outside, and October could be windy or chilly so may want to bring a coat or sweater.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids but we have opted to have a child free wedding so guests can enjoy themselves and have a great time celebrating with us.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, on the RSVP section there is a question about allergies and dietary restrictions, and we will try to accommodate you.

Question

Are you registered anywhere?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, we have posted our registry in the registry tab. If purchased off the registry it will be shipped to our home. A wedding gift table and card box will be at our reception.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, we have booked 2 hotel blocks in downtown Iowa City. The links are live in the travel tab.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we will have two shuttles to take guests from the downtown hotels to and from the wedding venue. Please note that the venue has limited parking, but it is available. Please enjoy the shuttles if you can - even if you aren't staying overnight in Iowa City.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a tight guest count for the space and have included any plus ones on the invitation and when you log in to RSVP it will have everyone invited listed.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to be seated and ready to start the ceremony on time at 4:30 PM.

Question

Can I take pictures at the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning no personal cameras or phones. We will have photos and videography professionally done and would love to share them with you when we get them after the wedding!

For all the days along the way
