This is one of Theo and Lana’s favorite places to go! Great for all ages, the botanical garden has walking paths and is a nice place to spend about an hour. It’s a perfect spot for a picnic, too!
Our family’s go-to spot for croissants. Get there early for the best selection.
A cute little farm stand with a garden in the back. Theo and Lana like to go here for farm fresh eggs, honey, and they have great coffee, too. Theo likes to see the tractor and farm equipment. :)
Lana worked at this visual arts nonprofit for 14 years! Explore the historic grounds, bring a picnic, and see artists at work in the studios. Around this time of year, the Hui will have a nice holiday shopping event featuring work by local artists. You might even be able to sign up for a hands-on art workshop!
Chris loves the IPAs from this local brewery. Stop in and listen to the live music- or get some crowlers (yes, beer in a big can) to go!
A great spot for coffee and pastries in the morning and a popular upcountry restaurant for dinner.
Lana’s mom goes to the farmer’s market every Saturday morning and graciously picks up fresh local produce for our family (allowing two tired parents to rest a little!). From vegetables to fish to the miso soup that Chris and Lana shared when they first met, the farmer’s market is a culinary delight!
Well…this one is not Upcountry, but if you want to do a sail while you are on Maui, Trilogy is the best! Trilogy is a family-run business that was also one of the rescue responders to the Lahaina Fire. A sailboat is also a super fun way to get out on the water.
A great spot with a view for an early dinner and drinks. They also have a big lawn where kids can run around.
