We met at Doubling Gap Center, Camp Yolijwa! We had known of each other for a while but were officially introduced via mutual friends. After gradually getting to know each other throughout the summer of 2023, I (Lana) confessed to having feelings for Luke during 3rd grade camp weekend. We went on our first date the evening before I moved back to Arizona for my junior year of college.

I booked a flight home for the first weekend of November with the intent of spending more time with Luke and hoping that we would make things official. However, I got a call from him on September 18, 2023 in which he asked me to be his girlfriend!

I thought I was going out for dinner with my aunt Kaykay at the Olive Oil Mill in Queen Creek, AZ. When we got there, Kaykay suggested we go out back to find a table before ordering our food. We walked out back and I saw Luke from a distance. He had gotten on a plane earlier that day and flew to Arizona to propose to me. It was the easiest "yes" in the world and a day filled with endless joy and tears of happiness!
