Our Love StoryOur Love Story

A love that waited, grew, and found its way home.

Our story technically started in childhood…We grew up around each other - at birthday parties, church, and family gatherings, always in the same spaces. We were two little kids who knew each other but pretended not to. Even in middle school, we would just stare like, “I know you… But I don't know you.” High school changed everything. I messaged him saying “TWINNNN,” it was up from there. Shortly after, we became best friends. We spent years as best friends. During quarantine in 2020, we grew closer. I started having feelings for him. One day, I told him that I liked him and was terrified because he was the first person I had ever told that I liked him. He responded that I was late and that he had always liked me. So that was that, we dated for a month lol. The timing wasn’t right. Life moved on, we drifted apart, and didn't talk for almost 2 years. We reconnected in College (Stillman College). We didn’t talk in the first semester. We realized we missed each other, and we had a conversation, and we have been inseparable ever since that day. On March 25, 2022, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and we made it official. This time was better timing, more maturity, more communication, more understanding. 3 years of ups and downs. On August 7, 2024, he gave me a promise ring and promised that we would be together forever. And a year later, on August 7, 2025, he asked me to marry him. It was the easiest yes ever. Now we are finally here, ready to celebrate the love story that took a few tries, a few years, and a whole lot of growing to get just right. #JoinTheJohnsons #AisleBeAJohnson
