Yes, we reserved a room block at the Ballantyne Hotel for our guests at a reduced rate of $279.00 per night (Deluxe Room 2 Queens or Deluxe Room King). See the Travel page for the special online booking link. Or, call (704) 248-4000 and refer to the "Williams Lam Wedding" to obtain the discounted rate. The booking deadline is June 17, 2026. We encourage you to reserve early, as availability may be limited.
We are happy to share that parking at the Ballantyne Hotel will be complimentary for all wedding guests, whether staying overnight or arriving just for the wedding celebration. Details on the parking voucher process will be provided closer to the wedding date.
Adults-Only Celebration with a Fun Kids Option While our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, we wanted to make things easy and stress-free for parents. We are happy to offer complimentary on-site childcare within the Ballantyne Hotel, just a short walk from the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception (allowing parents easy access throughout the evening). Details: We have reserved a large, secure conference room with restrooms within the Ballantyne Hotel where kids can enjoy a fun night of games, activities, and age-appropriate entertainment while the adults celebrate nearby. Childcare will be provided by Jovie, with certified, background-checked caregivers so parents can relax knowing their little ones are safe, close, and having a great time too. We hope this option lets everyone enjoy the evening to the fullest. All wedding events will take place indoors. Given the summer heat in Charlotte, we have designed the entire celebration with comfort in mind and will not be hosting any open-air events. Wedding Ceremony: Atrium Staircase Cocktail Hour: Fairway Foyer Reception: Fairway Ballroom
Guests will be welcomed with pre-ceremony refreshments, enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour, a seated dinner with a full open bar, and conclude the evening with desserts (of course!) and late-night bites. We will also have a mobile espresso bar from Heritage Coffee Co. for guests to enjoy. Baristas will serve handcrafted hot and iced lattes and cappuccinos. Adam and I both share a love for coffee and enjoy finding local coffee shops whenever we travel. We wanted to bring a small piece of that into our wedding to share with our guests.

Cocktail Attire
The Ballantyne Hotel is located approximately 18 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT), about a 25-minute drive. We recommend using a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft or renting a car. Once you arrive, we do not anticipate guests will need a car, as all wedding events will take place at the Ballantyne Hotel. The Bowl at Ballantyne (shops, walking trails, restaurants, and bars) is also within a 3-minute walk of the hotel.
