What is the Homestead?
Answer
Stoltzfus Homestead and Gardens is a historically preserved farm turned wedding venue! There are two barns - The Grand Barn (reception dinner/dancing) and the Tobacco Barn (ceremony site) as well as luscious landscaping that connects the Outdoor Lounge (cocktail hour) and the Secret Garden. You'll be able to explore all of these wonderful spaces for the entire evening!

How do I RSVP?
Answer
Right here on the website! Once invitations go out, there will be a page that will allow you to RSVP online. We will not be sending physical RSVPs.

When do I RSVP by?
Answer
We need a final guest count to give to our vendors before the end of June, so RSVPs must be received by NO LATER THAN JUNE 15TH. (Sorry for the screaming, just making it clear for anyone skimming!) Unfortunately, if you do not RSVP by that date we will not be able to accommodate you at the wedding.

Are my kids invited?

While we love all your little ones, we are keeping this event adults only. We hope you'll take the opportunity for a date night/weekend, but we understand if you are not able to attend.

What's the dress code?
Answer
We just want you to relax and have a great time, so wear something that makes you feel comfortable but also makes you look good! It's probably going to be warm, so long dresses and suit jackets are not required. We suggest cocktail or sun dresses, or dress shirts and slacks - in the realm of dressy casual or semi-formal. Feel free to roll those sleeves!

Dinner will be a buffet, so your plate is yours to customize! There should be something for everyone.

What about the weather?

We realize an early August wedding lends to hotter weather, but we hope that doesn't deter you from the party! Don't worry - there's plenty of shady outdoor spaces and highly ventilated indoor areas as well. We'll be sure to keep you hydrated!

Do you have travel suggestions?
Answer
If you're coming from afar to join us, firstly: thank you for making the trip to celebrate with us! We recommend flying into the Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) and driving to the Lancaster area. It's usually about an hour and half, and a beautiful drive. There is an airport in Lancaster (LNS) if you don't want to drive, but it's much smaller and will probably require a layover.

Can I smoke?
Answer
Smoking is only permitted on the Stoltzfus Homestead property in specifically designated areas. Smoking is never permitted in or close to any of the buildings. Please use appropriate smoking receptacles.
