Cody and I first met online. I swiped right, he liked me back — but after some time passed without a message from him, I decided to take the first step and message him. From that moment on, our story began. At the time, I was frequently traveling for work, so our relationship began with countless phone calls, text messages, and FaceTime conversations. Those early months built the foundation for a deep and lasting connection. Over the next two years, two months, and twenty days, our love only grew stronger — leading to a moment we will cherish forever. On August 25th, 2025, Cody completely surprised me with a proposal that was nothing short of perfect. We were spending a few days at a friends' fishing house in Port Mansfield. Just after midnight, while fishing from the pier, I turned around to find Cody down on one knee, a ring box in his hand. With a smile, he simply asked, “Will you?” In that instant, time stood still. I could hardly believe it was happening and asked, “Are you serious?” When he said yes, I could hardly hold myself together, and I said the easiest “Yes” of my life. We are beyond grateful for the love and support that has surrounded us on this journey, and we cannot wait to begin the next chapter of our lives together.
