It was July 17th when we went up to New Hampshire for a fun day trip. Emily got to meet John's other friends and family and John decided to pop the question. Knowing that he had to do it somewhere romantic, he dragged Emily up to New Hampshire to meet everyone else that was important to him. After bringing her to important family and friends, he drove Emily through his hometown. After getting to see all of what he grew up with and seeing how well Emily had reacted to being around his uncle Dan and family members, he knew he couldn't wait any longer. After a game of mini golf, we went to get Emily's favorite treat; ice cream! After the ice cream we went to the lake. John tried his hardest to act like nothing was happening, but Emily knew something was up since John isn't the greatest at keeping secrets. After taking in the sunset, John asked Emily to turn around and close her eyes. As she did so, John took a knee and asked her to turn back around and open her eyes. The moment that Emily opened her eyes she never thought twice about spending the rest of her life with John. There was no hesitation as she said yes, and we agreed to spend the rest of our lives together.
