We met for the first time while running with a group of friends during the wee hours of the morning. Several months later, our friendship blossomed during a hiking trip to White Sands, New Mexico. During the 26-mile adventure, we talked and got to know one another. A mutual attraction was evident. This led to a first date dinner at Flemming's Steakhouse in Newport Beach. Shared moments in time soon followed. Concerts with Anita Baker, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, The Eagles, Neil Young, Ottmar Liebert, Keiko Matsui. Plays like The Last Ship, Fidler on the Roof, Gone From Away and Hamilton. The Pageant of the Masters, Trips to Los Cabos, Arizona, Nashville, Milwaukee, Tecate, San Diego, Palm Springs, Boston. New Years Eve in New York City.

Our vacation to Kauai served as the perfect place to ask for forever to begin. The stage was set at the Beach House Restaurant in Koloa. An amazing dinner was followed by a short walk out to the beach. It was there that I got on my knee and popped the question.
