Keith and Nicole matched on a dating app called Hinge. Keith's opening line was to brag about how he had a subscription to Disney +. Nicole was immediately interested because of her love of Disney movies and agreed to a first date. In true Nicole fashion, she got ketchup in her hair and lost her earring during the date, but Keith was not deterred.

We originally planned a weekend getaway to Duluth the week that COVID-19 shut everything down. Needless to say, that trip was canceled. In May 2021, things were starting to open up and we decided to finally take our trip. We planned to walk around Gooseberry Falls one morning and stopped for breakfast on the way there. After arriving to the park, we were putting our walking shoes on and heard someone call, "Keith!" Keith's friends, Drew and Noelle, happened to be at Gooseberry Falls and noticed us as they were pulling out of the parking lot. Keith asked if they would stay to hike with us, and little did I know, he had been planning to propose the whole time. Keith texted Drew during the hike to let him know he was going to propose and asked if he would help. We reached the bottom of the waterfall and Keith asked Drew to take a picture of the two of us. We posed for a picture and the next thing I know, Keith was getting down on one knee! We celebrated that night with wine and pizza at our Air BnB.
