Our ceremony and reception on Saturday is black-tie optional for men and women, meaning suits for men and formal dresses for women. Women welcome to wear feathers, sequins, and fascinators. Our event on Friday will be cocktail attire with a floral theme for men and women. Women and men welcome to wear floral patterns and men welcome to wear linen. Note that in China it is customary for the bride to wear red and thus we would politely ask that you limit or avoid the colour red and the colour white in your dress. Firstly - we know that this is annoying to get there but we promise that the views will *rock* your socks off. The Castle location is a doorway into the italian Dolomites, a breathtaking mountain range of jagged limestone peaks and lush alpine meadows. 1 - Travelling by taxi, 1 hour travel time The castle is located about 1 HR from the Venice International Airport (Marco Polo) by car. Taxis can be prearranged with the Castle and cost ~150 EUR one way and 300 EUR roundtrip. Uber is not as popular in Italy and the rates come out to 230 EUR one way and 460 EUR round trip. We will arrange a carpool system if folks are interested in sharing the ride to the Castle and back to the airport. 2 - Travelling by car rental, 1 hour travel time Conversely you can rent a car from any popular car rental site (Kayak, Expedia, Booking, etc.). The cost to rent a car is roughly 350 EUR for a long weekend (Thurs to Sun). We will arrange a carpool system if folks are interested in sharing the ride to the Castle and back to the airport. 3 - Travelling by public transport (bus > train > bus), 3 hour travel time Public transport is available but sparse. Total travel time is ~3 hours. Best way would be to get to Venice Mestre station and take the train to Susegana. From Susegana google maps says that you apparently have to take the 10, 25, or 35 bus which drops you off in the town of Ciscon di Valmarino (Tessera Aeroporto Marco Polo station). From the town you must take the Furnnicular up to the Castle. Normally the entry is 2 EUR but for hotel guests it is free - please make this clear at the intercom at the entrance. Yes, of course! There will be a kids menu (consisting mostly of pasta, yum!) for children under 16. Please give us advanced notice in the survey if a kids menu will be required.
