The riverwalk is a 2.5mile pedestrian trail that runs along the Hillsborough River downtown. The trail connects several parks, museums, bars and restaurants. The riverwalk is open container and great way to spend time exploring outside.
Waterfront space with an open biergarden and many shipping container housed food options. It has something for everyone and is conveniently located on the riverwalk and streetcar line. While you're there you can tour the American Victory ship, 1 of only 4 fully operational WWII military ships in the country. https://www.americanvictory.org/
Beautifully restored waterfront food hall featuring outdoor dining and lawn space. It's located on the Riverwalk and always has something fun going on. There's many good restaurants at Armature works, however our favorite is Ulele. If you aren't able to get a reservation or have time for a meal there, we recommend at least trying the "fresh from Florida mojio." You won't be disappointed. https://ulele.com/
The Columbia - located on 7th Ave in the heart of Ybor City, it is the oldest restaurant in Florida. They serve Spanish-Cuban cuisine. Due to it's popularity, we recommend trying to set a reservation to avoid a long wait. Jackson's Bistro, Bar and Sushi - located across the bridge from the Marriott hotel on Harbour island. You can't beat the atmosphere and location overlooking the water. The menu has something for everyone. Hattricks - located in a historic building downtown on Franklin St. This sports bar is the best place to catch a Lightning hockey game and serves some of our favorite wings. Cigar City Brewing - multiple locations around the Tampa area, however their main brewery and taproom is located on Spruce St in West Tampa, close to the airport. Considered one of the best breweries in America, you can enjoy the Jai Alai IPA and The Florida Man just to name a few. They also serve a full Tampa-inspired menu.
Our favorite way to get around downtown Tampa. The trolley connects downtown Tampa to Ybor City with many stops in between. It runs every 15 minutes until 2:00am on the weekends, and the best part it's FREE!
