Melissa and Andrew met while working together in Ojai. While their work relationship was extremely professional, Melissa couldn't help but find herself wanting to harmlessly flirt with Andrew. Always the upstanding professional, Andrew deflected her playful advances. Melissa can be quite persistent and persuasive and eventually Andrew agreed to join her for a drink after work. They hit up the local bar for a whiskey (or two) and chatted the night away. After a few more dates and a few more whiskies their connection was undeniable. They still happily and professionally work together.

Andrew wanted to surprise Melissa. And Melissa can be difficult to surprise. So casually after work one evening, he asked her if she wanted to take a walk with their husky, Denali. Having a husky means frequent walks at any time of the day are not out of the ordinary. Melissa was up for a late night walk but insisted on taking martinis to go. Andrew couldn't object, a little liquid courage wouldn't be so bad! They walked to the top of the street they live on to look out over the ocean and the full moon. They sat peacefully on the sidewalk and chatted about their days, looking out over the city that brought them together. As they stood up to head back down the hill, Andrew got down on one knee and asked Melissa to marry him. Melissa said yes (of course) and dropped down to hug Andrew. Denali made sure to interject with lots of kisses.
