The story of Jamie and I began with the blissful world of dating apps. I did not have a lot of outcomes with the apps and after downloading, I removed them from my phone. Well you see about that, although you delete the app from your phone it does not get rid of your account completely. One day i get a text from a good friend of mine, asking do you know your bumble is still going? I was confused as to why she asked me, to find out her good friend asked about me... this was Jamie lurking. A while later, now Jamie knew who i was at this point, me not having a single recollection of him. I showed up at a 90s themed going away party for a mutual friend of ours. Looking around i noticed Jamie at the time, staring oddly at me. I went over to introduce myself feeling like i knew his name, only for him to respond, “yeah i know who you are”, looking away. We had met 3 times by this point, according to him. Obviously, this time was different. From that time forward, i thought he hated me. It was just a matter of time for me to learn that it was the exact opposite. Then the celebration of my 27th year. A day and night that consisted of a lot of hydration and no shots whatsoever. What had ended up being a party of around 20 people turned into the grand adventures of Jamie and Lauren. The one event that changed everything ended on the dance floor with an exchange of a romantic, completely non sloppy smooch. So our first date was at botanical gardens. Jamie came out in his fresh sweat shorts, white ralph lauren t shirt and sperry loafers. Lookin like a real snack. With the both of us buying matching t shirts and myself getting the poops after our ice cream, it was the dreamiest date a girl could ask for. We then spent everyday together with saying “i love yous” two weeks later. It took a month to then ask Jamie to move to Cali with me. A lot of people may see us as impulsive and crazy. We’re more than willing to own that with still embracing this crazy love of ours
