What is "Desert Festive" as a ceremony dress code?

Answer

Something that Maria made up. A little dressy, but practical for being in a desert. In general, wear anything that makes you feel awesome and that will be perfect. For ladies: jumpsuits, flowy dresses, short dresses, maxi skirts etc all work. For men: casual suits, button downs, slacks are all great.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, it is required by the National Park that you attend via the bus. The bus will pick up from 29 Palms Inn.

Is the Friday night event actually casual?

Answer

Yes. Wear anything.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, to everything except for the short ceremony during which we'll help coordinate a group sitter. 29 Palms Inn is great for kids, and there is a very kid friendly art center next to the property.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

29 Palms Inn if it's open is best since it's most convenient to everything that's happening. There are AirBNB rentals, a Best Western, and the Campbell House rooms if 29 Palms Inn is sold out.
