The ceremony starts at 5pm.
The American Swedish Historical Museum has a parking lot, but has limited spots. We recommend carpooling or getting an Uber. Directions for how to get to the venue are here: https://www.americanswedish.org/visit/directions
Our wedding dress code is cocktail attire. Think festive, polished, and seasonally appropriate. Suits (tie optional but encouraged), dress shirts with blazers, cocktail dresses, midi or knee-length dresses, dressy jumpsuits, and elevated separates are all great choices. Fall fabrics, darker hues, jewel tones, and subtle Halloween flair are welcome—but no costumes, please (more on that later). Philadelphia evenings in late October can be chilly, so we recommend bringing a stylish coat or wrap for warmth. Weather dependent, we will be outside for the ceremony and under the tent for the reception.
Halloween in Philadelphia can be mild or freezing. With this in mind, our plan is to have the ceremony and cocktail hour outside and in the museum. The reception will be under a tent (with heaters). Should the weather decide not to cooperate, we will have the ceremony and cocktail hour inside the museum.
Yes, mostly! Feel free to look around the museum. Several rooms are food and beverage friendly. A few rooms are not, and signage will indicate that. Please help us respect this beautiful space and its exhibits.
Check out our things to do tab, but there is so much to do and see here. Reach out to Ryan or Kristen and they will give you an even longer list of things to do, see, eat, and drink!
