Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The wedding and reception will be Black-Tie Optional / Formal. For men, feel free to wear a tuxedo or a suit. For women, floor length gowns are preferred. No cocktail dresses please. Please don’t worry about being “too fancy.” There’s no such thing. Take this opportunity to wear that gown that you’ve been looking for a special occasion to wear. (Also, wearing black is totally okay!) For our military folks who would prefer to come in uniform: Mess Dress (AF), Blue Mess (Army), and Dinner Dress (Navy & Coast Guard). By no means is military uniform required. Andrew & the rest of the wedding party will NOT be in uniform.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a room block at the hotel where our reception is being held. The “Travel & Hotel” Tab should bring you to the website. Hotels in DC can get pricey around the holidays, so we suggest booking as soon as possible.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is a large, free parking lot at the church. Valet parking is available at the reception venue, which will be discounted if you’re staying at the hotel on our Room Block.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Only for members of the wedding party. Plan to drive, carpool, or Uber to and from the church.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 2:00pm. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to park and get seated.
