Lamarr and Alexis met in 2008, at a holiday party. They both moved back to Charlotte in the summer of 2009 and instantly became friends. Movie hangouts, gathering invites, and sports parties catapulted their friendship. When Lamarr joined the military in 2015 they connected in writing and long conversation, which slowly moved them from the "friend zone." From the first date at Hickory Tavern, the spark became a flame, and the relationship began. With the addition of Carter, their love for each other grew stronger and moved to a forever moment. During a family vacation to Antigua, Lamarr proposed to Alexis during a circle of grateful responses from the family. Lamarr shared on one knee how grateful he would be if Alexis would spend the rest of her life with him. Married on November 17, 2017 with close family and friends they began their marriage journey. Here they are renewing their vows after 5 years of marriage, they are recommitting to each other. Plus Alexis pestered him for 5 years have this wedding!!! Lamarr emphasized with each day of planning this will NEVER happen again... so be prepared to party and celebrate their love because this wedding is only happening once!!
