Chicago is the greatest city in the world (fight us). Here are some recommendations of things to do in the city. We've included a mix of important places to us and great things to do around the church and reception venue.
Clark Street Ale House - River North
742 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60654
Grab a pre-cocktail hour drink at Clark Street Ale House - located just a 5 minute walk from the reception venue.
Eataly
43 East Ohio Street, Chicago, IL 60611, (312) 521-8700
Grab a glass of wine, coffee, or snack at Eataly. About a 15 minute walk to reception location.
District Brew Yards
417 North Ashland Avenue, Chicago, IL 60622, (773) 295-1270
Stop by one of Ali's Dad's restaurants for some great BBQ, pour your own beer, and outdoor seating. Join us the day after the wedding anytime between noon and 3pm!
Pasta Palazzo
1966 North Halsted Street, Chicago, IL 60614, (773) 248-1400
Our favorite restaurant in Lincoln Park (and probably in general). If it were more than 100 square feet, we would probably have our wedding here. We recommend the Conchiglie Gorgonzola
Lincoln Park Nature Boardwalk
2121 N. Stockton Dr., Chicago, IL 60614
Take a walk around Lincoln Park's Nature Boardwalk or hang out on the South Lawn. We spent much of our quarantine time here, and it's where Andy proposed :)
Tapster
2027 West North Avenue, Chicago, IL 60647, (773) 661-2182
Grab a pour-your-own beer or cocktail at Tapster, the location of our first date! Around the corner is where Ali got a parking ticket because the date was going so well she forgot to re-up her parking meter.
Alliance Bakery
1736 West Division Street, Chicago, IL 60622, (773) 278-0366
Get the best croissants at our favorite breakfast place near our first apartment together.
Lou Mitchell's
565 West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, IL 60661, (312) 939-3111
Classic diner around the corner from Old St. Pat's that opened in 1923. The Lamacki family frequented here after masses.
