We met on New Year’s day through mutual friends in Okinawa, Japan. While celebrating the coming of 2021, we danced, laughed, and ended the night with a new blossoming friendship. This connection strengthened over the next two years as we both supported each other through better or worse and later realized we had fallen in love. We got engaged at Okuma Beach Resort during a weekend getaway with my family. The night before we were scheduled to check out, I was asked to join everyone for sunset pictures and saw the man of my dreams down on one knee. With all of my heart, it was an obvious YES. The ring is a beautiful diamond band with twisted vines and accent stones from the company Brilliant Earth.
