We have decided to get married on Valentine's day at San Francisco City Hall. We hope you can join us. For the past six years we have lived together in Santa Cruz. Lalita currently runs HANLOH a successful Thai pop-up and catering business while Sam is working on his PhD in Computer Engineering. We have grown together through landlord troubles, moving, staggered work schedules, a car crash on the 17, buying a new car, traveling, starting a business from the ground up, and becoming an ARCS scholar. When we first started going out Lalita worked and lived in San Francisco at a rental with the cutest cat Noodle. But she eventually had to leave. We decided to make it work. Sam visited when he could, but Sam had just started his PhD program in Santa Cruz. Sam eventually told Lalita that she had to decide whether she wanted to move to Santa Cruz. Lalita thought that this must mean that Sam really likes her and she was ready to move on from her current work situation, so she agreed. Our first date was breakfast at Sam's Log Cabin in Albany, where Sam arrived late and had to leave early. Sam knew he blew it and immediately setup another date. Lalita thought Sam was a good guy and took him up on his offer. We continued to date and something clicked. Our first conversation after many years occurred at Teance, where Sam worked. She immediately recognized Sam and offered her card. Sam attempted to set up a date, but Sam was set to leave for a month to Korea. On Sam's return Lalita, who was supposed to be in a different state at this time because of work, reached out. We first met at Berkeley High School in Physics class. Sam sat at the desk behind Lalita, but we only had a handful of short conversations. Many years later we discovered a picture that Lalita took of Sam at her graduation, where he played "Pomp and Circumstance" (the graduation song) in the orchestra.
