We met our freshman year of high school in our sixth period marketing class when our teacher put us in the same group for a business project. The two of us sat together and we quickly became friends. After a couple months full of inside jokes and flirty messages we grew to be inseparable and finally went on a date. On November 3, 2018 Owen asked Lakyn to be his girlfriend and we have spent five years loving life together!

Owen got down on one knee July 22, 2023 on Lakyn’s birthday. After luring her to take birthday pictures at the Paintsville Lake spillway he led her to a picnic before popping the question. The answer was obviously yes.
