We met in a media class at Missouri State. Alfredo came to the front of the class where I was sitting and asked if he could sit by me. That was the first time “I said yes!” That’s when our love story started.

It was my 26th birthday. Alfredo surprised me with a trip to Mont Rest Bed & Breakfast in Bellevue, IA. He told me, “We should take a picture!” He set his camera up and got down on one knee! Three minutes later fireworks went off! The town was having a Christmas parade, but we say he planned it.
