Since we met and fell in love in Pittsburgh, and most of our friends and family are (relatively) close, the plan was to always propose in Pittsburgh. However, COVID made traveling/ planning “slightly” harder so we took a “spontaneous” trip to Pittsburgh in the beginning of June. After having lunch at one of our favorite restaurants, Noodlehead, we had tickets to see the beautiful Phipps Conservatory. Unbeknownst to Jillian, a couple of Mike’s friends had scouted the area previously, and were our own private photographers as they hid in the bushes. We made our way to the outside courtyard as Mike bent down on one knee right on the bridge. After the proposal, Jillian’s friends helped throw a surprise celebration party at Jillian's old apartment complex.
