FAQs

The Wedding Website of Laken Ambrister and Aidan Fortman
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We are requesting that everyone RSVP by October 1st. This early date is necessary due to the fact that 100% of our guests will need to find lodging in Washington. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 2:00 PM promptly so we ask that you please arrive by 1:45 PM.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

If you are invited to the rehearsal dinner, our dress code for that night is dressy-casual: think sundresses, sandals, short sleeve button ups, etc. - just please NO jeans or athletic wear! The ceremony/reception dress code is semi-formal/cocktail: knee-length or midi dresses, optional ties, anything that makes you comfortable! Please just avoid jeans, white, or fully brown outfits! We don't want anyone to go out and buy anything new, so if you have something already that works then wear it! If you have any questions about clothing or dress code at all, please feel free to text Laken anytime (she knows the anxiety-inducing feeling that comes with picking out clothes for someone else's event). During the duration of the weekend, please refrain from wearing white :)

Question

Can I bring a date or my children?

Answer

If you have a plus one on the RSVP section of our website, then you can bring a date! Any children invited are listed by name on the RSVP section. If you do not see a plus one or your child's name, then we were not able to fit them into our limited venue capacity.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We have the option to tell us any of your allergies on our RSVP portal. Though, we already have a vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free friendly menu for any meals that we are hosting!

Question

How do we get to Copper Creek Inn (the wedding venue)?

Answer

We suggest flying into Seattle and getting a rental car for the weekend that you can drive to our venue!

Question

Are there any events going on during the wedding weekend?

Answer

This is the schedule that we have planned, but any events besides the ceremony/reception are optional! THURSDAY, JULY 16 + Laken and Aidan arrive @ 4:00 PM + welcome bonfire and s'mores FRIDAY, JULY 17 + hiking or relaxing - your choice! + exclusive rehearsal dinner SATURDAY, JULY 18 + ceremony @ 2:00 PM + reception to follow SUNDAY, JULY 19 + Laken and Aidan depart @ 11:00 AM for their honeymoon!

Question

What if flying to and staying in Washington is not feasible for me/my family?

Answer

If this trip is not feasible for you and/or your family for any reason, know that we truly understand and put no pressure on you to travel for us. We will still love you no matter what! If you do decide to join us, feel free to turn this opportunity into an extended trip for yourselves, as many of our loved ones (including us) are doing the same!
