Gabe and I met in PT school, at Cleveland State University, sitting in the same classroom but pretending not to notice how often I would catch his eye. After one too many glances, I decided to make the first (very subtle I thought!) move. I dropped my Snapchat name in our class group chat, using my dog, Lambeau, as the perfect excuse — secretly hoping Gabe would add me. And he did! We started studying together with a few other classmates, which quickly became our favorite excuse to spend more time with each other. Not long after, we went out together — just the two of us. From that moment on, we have been going strong ever since. When Gabe proposed, he told me we were going ice skating with friends. Instead, he completely surprised me in downtown Cleveland, surrounded by Christmas lights and the most magical winter atmosphere. It was everything I didn’t know I was dreaming of — and the easiest “yes” of my life!
