Flights into Gunnison are convenient, but they can be a bit pricey. If you are looking for a cheaper travel option you can fly into Denver, rent a car, and enjoy a 4.5 hour scenic drive with spectacular mountain views. If you decide to rent a car to drive from Denver, make sure it has four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.
