Lainie and Jared met in 7th grade in their English class. The seating chart put them next to each other and he started picking on her the whole year until he asked her to go to the middle school dance with him in May. Fast forward to sophomore year of college at OSU, Jared sent Lainie a message through Instagram in April after not seeing or hearing from each other since the middle school dance. Jared told Lainie that his friend Christian had set up a double date and that Jared was looking for someone to go with and Lainie happily accepted. The day of, Jared told Lainie that Christian was sick and would not be able to make it and wondered if she still wanted to go or if she wanted to postpone. Lainie was too excited to see him again after so many years to postpone so they met at DiVinci's at 7pm on April 7th 2023. Even though they had not seen or talked to each other in 7 years, it felt like they had not missed a day. They talked so much that they barely ate their food and stayed until the restaurant closed. Jared asked Lainie to be his girlfriend on April 17th 2023 and they have been inseparable ever since. Jared proposed to Lainie at the middle school on her birthday, September 17th 2025. His family turned the middle school cafeteria into a school dance with colored lights. Her sister Lillian was the DJ and played songs from the 2010's and they partied with their families. Their marriage is something they have been looking forward to for a long time and they are excited to celebrate committing to each other before God with their families and friends!
