We officially met at Kent State University's Harry Potter Fest, but neither of us remember meeting each other then (Lainey was too distracted by Ricky's dog-in-training, Waffle). Then, Lainey started classes at Kent State and joined a service fraternity called Alpha Phi Omega, which Ricky had already been a part of for two semesters. Thanks to mutual friends, we became very close. We were with each other almost everyday, and constantly going on fun college adventures. Two years later, we got engaged in Washington D.C.
