Our story begins six years ago at Duke University. The spring semester of my senior year marked the arrival of a new, beautiful, blonde upstairs neighbor who had just returned from a semester abroad. What may have started as coincidental meet ups at the bus stop became more and more frequent and strategic. Soon I was catching the later bus, frequently running late for class, for the chance to have a few words at the bus stop. One fateful night, on a trip to CookOut for milkshakes with friends, I managed to blurt out "You have got to be the most genuinely nice person I have ever met." This was enough to secure an invite to Lainey's formal the next week. Our first date that followed included Goodberry's, the world's best frozen custard, and we were both hooked. After long distance for most of our relationship, multiple moves, grad school, med school, a new job, and a deployment, we are finally both living in New York. And we couldn't be more excited to be starting the rest of our lives together!
