K. Spoetzl Brewery & Distillery
K. Spoetzl Brewery is the state’s oldest independent brewery and home of the famous Shiner Bock. Founded in 1909, the brewery is full of history and charm. Guests can enjoy guided tours, tastings of Shiner’s classic beers and spirits, and authentic Texas BBQ on site.
Saint John the Baptist Czech Catholic Church
If you are wanting to see the famous Painted Churches of Texas, this is one of four within 30 minutes of Schulenburg. It is the furthest from the venue and referred to as "the pink one". The ceremony will be held at St. Mary's (Praha) which is included on this list.

This Painted Church is right across from the reception venue, Svetlik Farm. It is referred to as the "Queen of the Painted Churches".
