Garden of the Gods
Colton & I stopped here the first time I visited the springs! We loved walking around & enjoying the scenery! Garden of the Gods is perfect, as it's free to visit and doesn't require a huge time commitment.
Section 16 Trailhead
Please don't ask me HOW Colton dragged me on an almost 6-mile hike, but he did. If I can handle this hike, I think most can. The views were absolutely worth it! Block off your morning, as this hike can take around 3 hours to complete!
Downtown
From enjoying little hole-in-the-wall food joints to clothing boutiques, downtown has plenty of gems to be found! A little window shopping never hurt anyone!
Manitou Cliff Dwellings
Explore the unique Manitou Cliff Dwellings, where you can walk through preserved Ancestral Puebloan-style structures and experience a hands-on glimpse into ancient history. It’s a quick, fascinating stop with a self-guided tour, with tickets ranging from $8–$12.75 per person.
Cheyenne Mountain Zoo
Visit the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, America’s only mountain zoo, where you can get up close with animals (don’t miss feeding the giraffes!) while enjoying incredible views of Colorado Springs. Tickets typically range from about $14–$35 per person depending on the day and season.
